The main difference from the Novo is the massive improvement in battery capacity, going from the original 450mAh the Novo 2 comes with almost double that at 800mAh. Double the battery capacity means double the battery life.

Power output has also increased from 10-16W to 6-25W giving you a wider wattage range. Now your Novo will cleverly adjust the wattage to give you a better, longer-lasting vaping experience. Another new feature is a groove around the electrode so any condensation generated while vaping can easily dissipate. SMOK also redesigned the draw activation sensor so it never fires when it shouldn’t.

Novo 2 also has an indicator light which when vaping or charging will display the battery level. Red for 30% or less, Orange for 30-70%, and Green for 70% or more.

SMOK Novo 2 replacement pods are the same 2mL capacity but have been re-designed to have side airflow slots like the SMOK Nord Pods and come in mesh, traditional, a and quartz coil options:

• 1.0 Ohm Mesh Novo 2 Pod, with an increased heating area designed for thicker clouds, can be used with either nic salts or higher nicotine vape juices
• 1.4 Ohm DC, MTL Novo 2 Pod, for a smooth throat-hit created for a purer taste with salt nic
• 1.4 Ohm Quartz Coil Pods, faster heat-up time and an intense flavour

All of these coil options are suitable for use with the original Novo device and to add another great option SMOK has released pre-filled Novo pods, so check them out if you’d prefer an even simpler vape. If you already have Novo pods they are backwards compatible so it can also be used in the Novo 2.

With the same ergonomic whistle-like mouthpiece, the new airflow system on the side of the pod provides an improved vape and firing is draw-activated as before.
